The Corporate Affairs Commission has denied several allegations of corruption and mismanagement of office leveled against the Registrar General of the commission, Alhaji Garba Abubakar ,by the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Services Employees (AUPCTRE) which is a trade union representing public sector workers in Nigeria.

In a statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs,Duke Ukaga says the allegations are figment of imagination of the AUPCTRE who could still not accept the reality of losing checkup dues of over 2 Million monthly from the Commission following the stoppage of check up dues deduction in respect of senior staff.

The commission further explained on the allegation of stoppage of staff loans, that since the introduction of Treasury Single Account, the Commission did not have a separate Revolving Loan Account, as was the case in the past.

The Commission had been approving and granting loans from the revenue account and loan recoveries were not properly accounted for. The statement added.
