‎The Association of Proprietors of Private Media Establishment of Nigeria, APPMEN, will host the Aso Conference 2026 for content creators and media owners in Abuja.

‎The one-day conference will hold on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the AIG Aishatu Abubakar Baju Hall, VCN, beside TETFUND Headquarters in Maitama. The theme is Voice, Vision, Purpose, with focus on how Nigerian creators can recover monies owed to them by global platforms.

‎APPMEN National Coordinator, Chief Precious Enebuse, says the conference will bring together skit makers, influencers, comedians, bloggers, journalists and digital entrepreneurs to learn how to turn influence into income and resolve payment challenges.

‎Two major highlights are expected at the event. APPMEN will formally invest its Council of Patrons led by former Cross River Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke as Chairman, Barrister Joel Sabo Aninge, the Odyong Nyankpa II as Grand Patron, and the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Baba Umar Faruq II as National Patron. The group will also unveil 25 distinguished Nigerians as The Nigeria We Want Ambassadors.

The Chairman of the occasion is Ambassador Godknows Igali, National Chairman of PANDEF. Guests of honour include the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, and the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida. APPMEN says attendance is open but seats are limited.
