ART MINISTER MUSAWA MOURNS NOLLYWOOD LEGEND OLU JACOBS AT 84

The Federal Government has mourned the passing of Nollywood legend, Sir Olu Jacobs, who died on Wednesday at the age of 84.

 

‎Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, described his death as a monumental loss to the nation and the creative industry.

 

‎She said Olu Jacobs was not just an actor, but a national institution and one of Africa’s greatest actors, whose work for over five decades gave dignity to the entertainment industry.

 

The minister extended condolences to his wife, Joke Silva, his children and the entire creative community, saying his legacy through the Lufodo Academy and Nollywood will continue to live on.
