Businesswoman and sister of popular singer Davido, Sharon Adeleke, has urged public figures to normalise re-wearing outfits.

Speaking in a recent Instagram video, Sharon said celebrities should not succumb to societal pressure to wear new clothes for every event.

‎The businesswoman shared a personal experience in which her team objected to her wearing an outfit she had worn before.

“On Sunday, I have an event and I did not have anything made for it. So, I decided to wear something that I have worn before, and my team objected that people have seen it before and they will see it again. But I wore it anyway,” she said.

She added that she will not allow unnecessary pressure to dictate her fashion choices.

‎Sharon’s comments come amid growing conversations about sustainability and the cost of maintaining celebrity fashion standards in Nigeria.
