Global singers Shakira, Burna Boy, Justin Bieber and Madonna delivered a Super Bowl-style spectacle at half-time of the 2026 World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at New York New Jersey Stadium.
The 11-minute show, curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin, was staged during the 20-minute half-time break and performed for a crowd of more than 80,000 fans, celebrities and dignitaries.
K-Pop superstars BTS opened the segment with a high-energy set, marking their first major U.S. performance since returning from a three-year break for military service in South Korea.
Justin Bieber followed, making his biggest live appearance in four years. The singer performed a medley of hits after returning to touring following the cancellation of his Justice world tour due to health issues.
The highlight of the night came when Colombian star Shakira and Nigerian singer Burna Boy reunited on stage to perform their global chart hit ‘Dai Dai’, the same song they debuted together at the tournament’s opening ceremony in Mexico City in June.
According to FIFA, the performance was staged to raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise 100 million dollars for children’s education worldwide.
