FEDERAL GOVERNMENT URGES KOICA, FAO TO ALIGN AGRICULTURAL INTERVENTION WITH NIGERIA’S DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES

The Federal Government has called for stronger alignment between development partners’ interventions and Nigeria’s national priorities. The call was made as the Korea International Cooperation Agency, KOICA, and the Food and Agriculture Organisation, FAO, prepare to roll out a new multi-bilateral agricultural project in Nigeria.

The Nigeria Customs Service has strengthened its commitment to coordinated border management and regional trade after a high-level benchmarking mission to the Beitbridge Border Post between Zimbabwe and South Africa. The mission was held to advance trade facilitation and economic integration in Africa.

The Federal Government has inaugurated an Interministerial Committee on the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service, NAQS. The inauguration took place on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the Federal Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning in Abuja.
