TCN AND IMCOMTEL INSPECT KATSINA SUBSTATION AHEAD OF MAJOR INSTALLATION

KATSINA, Nigeria — The Transmission Company of Nigeria and Imcomtel Engineering have inspected the Katsina 330/132/33kV transmission substation.

The inspection was done ahead of the next phase of installation.

‎It took place on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026.

‎It was led by Assistant General Manager of TCN Katsina, Usman Idris.

‎He received the Imcomtel team led by Emmanuel Okafor.

‎The team inspected civil works, equipment locations and other infrastructure at the site.

‎They checked readiness for the next phase of the project.

They also inspected two 100MVA transformers delivered to the site on July 9, 2026.

The transformers are expected to boost power supply in Katsina and the North-West.

‎The team also checked four new control rooms at the site.

The rooms will house protection and monitoring systems.

TCN and Imcomtel agreed on final technical needs to complete the project.

Principal Manager Mustapha Idowu and other technical heads were part of the inspection.
