The Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc (AEDC) has launched its MyPower Mobile and Web Apps as part of efforts to improve customer service and provide faster, more convenient access to electricity-related services.
The launch, held on October 7, 2026, forms part of AEDC’s Customer Service Week activities and marks another step in the company’s digital transformation and customer experience strategy.
Through the platforms, customers can purchase electricity tokens, pay bills, report power outages and other service issues, as well as lodge and track complaints remotely.
The apps also allow customers to monitor energy consumption, access bills and payment receipts, manage multiple accounts and meters, and update their personal information digitally.
A key feature of the platforms is staff verification, which enables customers to confirm the identity of AEDC personnel before granting them access to their premises, providing an additional layer of security during customer interactions.
Speaking at the launch, AEDC’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Chijioke Z. Okwuokenye, FNSE, said the platforms were part of the company’s broader effort to become more customer-focused and digitally enabled.
Okwuokenye said AEDC would continue to improve its services by leveraging technology and responding to evolving customer needs and expectations.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer, Engr. Blessing Ogbe, FNSE, also said customer feedback would continue to guide the development of its processes, channels and services.
The MyPower Mobile App is available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, while the MyPower Web App can be accessed via crm.abujaelectricity.com. The digital platforms are available to customers across AEDC’s franchise area, comprising the Federal Capital Territory, Kogi, Niger and Nasarawa states.
