TOMPOLO DONATES 25 VEHICLES, SEEKS VOTES FOR TINUBU IN KOGI

Voters in Kogi State have been urged to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027 to sustain ongoing reforms.

The call was made by High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as he donated 25 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for grassroots mobilisation in Kogi.

‎Tompolo, who is the Grand Patron of the movement, announced the donation through the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Kestin Pondi, at the inauguration of the movement’s Kogi structure in Lokoja on Monday.

‎He said the vehicles will support campaigns to mobilise voters for Tinubu’s second term.

Pondi, speaking on behalf of Tompolo, said Tinubu had shown courage by removing petrol subsidy, supporting direct allocation to local governments and allowing states to regulate electricity.

He said the reforms have increased funds available to states to pay salaries, pensions and execute projects.

‎”If somebody has done so much for you, what do you do for the person? You give him more,” he said.

‎He urged members of the movement to take the message to homes, markets, churches and communities, saying Nigerians should give Tinubu another four years to consolidate reforms.

He admitted that the reforms brought challenges but said the country will benefit if citizens remain patient.

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, who received the vehicles, commended the movement but said vehicles alone do not win elections.

“Vehicles do not win elections, but people win elections, conventions win elections and organisations win elections,” Ododo said.

He urged coordinators to explain government policies with facts, not insults, and to listen to people’s concerns.

The governor said Tinubu inherited economic challenges and chose to confront them through reforms that need continuity.

He listed projects in Kogi supported by the President, including the proposed Economic City and Free Trade Zone, Kogi International Airport, rehabilitation of the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin Expressway, universities, primary healthcare centres, roads and empowerment programmes.

‎He also thanked Tinubu for supporting security operations and efforts to establish state police.

‎Ododo pledged to lead mobilisation in Kogi and urged members to campaign peacefully.

Earlier, National Coordinator of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Mr. Sunday Asuku, called on residents, youths, students and farmers to mobilise for Tinubu’s re-election.

‎He said the administration’s reforms are necessary for development, citing engagement with labour and efforts to prevent ASUU strikes.

‎He urged members to campaign door-to-door, city-to-city and settlement-to-settlement.
