BENIN CITY, Nov 4 – The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Sub-Region, has received a truckload of equipment spares and maintenance materials from its Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) in Abuja.
TCN said the delivery was made on Monday, Nov. 2.
The consignment includes 330kV and 132kV tripping coils, rapid pressure relays, current transformer ratio clamps, gantry structures and porcelain insulators.
The items have been offloaded and stored in the sub-region’s store, ready for deployment when needed.
TCN said the delivery will strengthen the sub-region’s capacity to carry out routine and emergency maintenance promptly.
It said this will reduce downtime, improve the reliability of the transmission network and support more efficient delivery of bulk power to load centres of distribution companies served by the region.
