AFROBEAT STAR RUDEBOY INTRODUCES STRINGENT CONDITION OF 10 MILLION FINE IF CAUGHT SMOKING.
Afrobeat star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has introduced stringent conditions for artists seeking to join his record label, Fire Department Inc.
According to Rudeboy, artists will be required to provide guarantees such as landed properties, and have their parents co-sign a binding contract.
He noted that any artist caught smoking while signed to the label will face a hefty N10 million fine.
The new requirements aim to tackle the growing issue of entitlement among artists who believe they can succeed without label support.
The move is seen as a bid to restore the value of record labels in the music industry.
