AFROBEAT STAR-TIWA SAVAGE SAYS AFRICAN MUSIC IS NOT SUFFERING A DECLINE

Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has asserted that African music was not declining but entering a correction phase necessary to sustain the industry.
Speaking as a keynote speaker at the Oxford Africa Conference, Savage stated that the slowdown in rapid growth had created space to focus on building infrastructure.
She compared the situation to other genres such as hip-hop, R&B, and pop, noting that correction was a normal part of industry development.
Savage added that while there was a lot to address, the changes should not be mistaken for a collapse.
