ABUJA — The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr Olayemi Cardoso, has sent greetings to participants at the 19th Annual Banking and Finance Conference.

‎Cardoso was represented by the Deputy Governor for Economic Policy, Mr Philip Ikeazor, at the event organised by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

‎In his message on Tuesday, Cardoso said the conference remains an important gathering for leaders in the financial sector to discuss issues shaping banking and finance in Nigeria.

‎He commended the Institute for its role in promoting professionalism and supporting the development of the financial system.

Cardoso also congratulated the President and Chairman of Council of CIBN, and the organisers of the conference.

He said he looks forward to meeting bankers at the Annual Bankers’ Dinner in November.

The Deputy Governor wished participants a successful conference.
