CHELLE EYES FOREIGN EAGLES TO STRENGTHEN NIGERIAN TEAM

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle is focusing on recruiting foreign-born players to enhance Nigeria’s squad, amid rising interest from dual-nationality athletes.

He has secured commitments from defenders Felix Agu, Ryan Alebiosu, and goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, and is in discussions with five other eligible players. Recently, Rangers defender Emmanuel Fernandez also committed to representing Nigeria.

The Super Eagles showcased several dual-nationality players during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, indicating a new strategy that merges local experience with international talent while ensuring tactical unity.
