D’TIGERS PICK 2025 AFROBASKET TICKET
Nigeria’s male senior basketball team, D’Tigers, have been declared ‘qualified’ for the FIBA AfroBasket championship, despite their last qualifying match against Cape Verde.
The team, which includes leaders Cape Verde, Libya, Nigeria, and Uganda, will qualify for the tournament in Angola as the best fourth-placed team.
Despite their initial poor performance in the first phase of the qualifiers last year, D’Tigers have been on a redemption mission in Libya, winning their first two games and recovering from a halftime deficit to secure their second consecutive victory in the final qualifying window.
The team hopes to win a second continental title in Angola from August 12 to 24.
