
FCCPC ORDERS MULTICHOICE NIGERIA TO MAINTAIN CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION PRICES UNTIL INVESTIGATION IS CONCLUDED
The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) has directed MultiChoice Nigeria to maintain its current subscription prices for DStv and GOtv services until the ongoing investigation into its proposed price hike is concluded.
This directive is in response to MultiChoice Nigeria’s request for an extension regarding its scheduled appearance before the Commission.
In a release signed by the director, corporate affairs of the commission, Ondaje Ijagwe, the FCCPC has granted MultiChoice Nigeria’s request for an extension, and the company is now required to attend a rescheduled investigative hearing on March 6, 2025.
In the meantime, MultiChoice Nigeria must maintain its current subscription prices until the investigation is concluded. The Commission’s directive is a clear indication of its commitment to protecting consumers’ interests and promoting fair competition in the market .
