FORMER SUPER EAGLES COACH,SIASIA LAMENTS POOR PAY OF LOCAL COACHES
Former Super Eagles captain and coach, Samson Siasia, has lamented the disparity between local and foreign coaches, saying the Nigeria Football Federation favored the white coaches ahead of their Nigerian counterparts.
Siasia made this assertion during a podcast with ex-international Emmanuel Babayaro and journalist Matthew Edafe.
The NFF is currently in search of a new coach for the Eagles following the exit of Portuguese Jose Peseiro, who guided the team to a second-place finish at the AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.
Buttressing Babayaro’s point that a white coach once got better pay and was sent on a coaching course by the NFF after losing a game, Siasia added that they will not send local coach for such a training.
He further lamented that they will pay the white man $50,000 monthly, and pay local hires N1m. From the N1m, the coaching staff will also take.
