FRANCE CALLS ON NATIONALS TO LEAVE MALI ‘AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

France has urged its nationals in Mali to leave as soon as possible, citing weekend attacks by jihadists and Tuareg separatists and an extremely volatile security situation.

France also warned it’s citizens not to travel to the West African nation.

Pending their departure, they are asked to stay at home, limit their movements and follow instructions from local authorities, also keeping their relatives informed.

The UK has also advised against all travel to Mali due to the unpredictable security conditions and asked its citizens to leave.

It also warned them not to travel by land to neighbouring countries, deeming it too dangerous due to what it called terrorist attacks along national highways.
