KADUNA POLICE ARREST 41 KIDNAPPERS
The Kaduna State Police Command says it arrested 41 suspected kidnappers and armed robbers, rescued seven victims and recovered firearms and rustled cattle in sustained operations across the state.
Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, who disclosed this at a press briefing, said the feats were recorded between March and April 2026 through intelligence-led policing and coordinated raids.
He said the Command also recovered 24 firearms, 200 rounds of live ammunition and 50 rustled cows while dismantling several criminal networks operating in different parts of the state.
Highlighting key breakthroughs, the police chief said operatives arrested a suspected gunrunner in Kagarko and recovered 20 locally fabricated Dane guns from him.
In a separate operation in Makarfi, he said two suspected kidnappers were arrested after intelligence linked them to abductions around Tashan Yari village.
Muhammad added that multiple informants aiding bandits were also picked up in Kachia, Giwa and Kauru local government areas, noting that such collaborators played critical roles in facilitating kidnappings.
