
KPADUMA COMMUNITY CALLS ON FCT MINISTER,WIKE TO INTEGRATE THEM INTO THE MASTER PLAN
In response to the demolition of Gishiri community and planned rumored of continued demolition of illegal houses in FCT, Abuja Original inhabitant in Kpaduma community of Abuja Municipal Area Council has called on the Minister of FCT, Nyensom WIKE to integrate them in the Master plan of FCT.
Speaking at a Media briefing in Abuja, Spokesperson of the indigene of Kpaduma community, Bala Iyah noted that the community has not received any compensation and relocation fund as stated by the FCT Minister in his media briefing.
Iyah who described the information that the Kpaduma community has adequately been compensated and relocated by FCT Administration as false noted that they are still waiting for the outcome of a recommendation submitted to the Minister by the committee set up to look into the issue with a view to integrate the community.
While appreciating the Minister of FCT for the ongoing massive development seen in the FCT since he assumed office, Iyah appealed for proper compensation and relocation of indigenes affected during road construction in any community.
FCT Administration on Monday last week demolished over one hundred illegal houses and structures in the Gishiri community in Katampe District of the FCT to give way for road construction.
