NDLEA CHAIRMAN,MARWA SEEKS LAWMAKER’S SUPPORT IN FIGHT AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING 

The Chairman  of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohamed Marwa (Rtd) has urged the National Assembly to support the agency in its fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking.

He made the appeal on Tuesday while defending the 2025 budget proposal of the Agency before the House Committee on Narcotic Drugs and Senate Committee on Drugs and Narcotics respectively.

Marwa said the Senate and House Committee on Narcotic Drugs had demonstrated remarkable courage and commitment towards the war against drug abuse, especially the effort towards the amendment of the NDLEA Act.

The NDLEA boss also commended President Bola Tinubu for his continued support in enabling the agency to fulfil its mandate effectively.
