The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has confirmed receiving an application for an Extraordinary Tariff Review from Aba Power Limited Electric (APLE), the electricity distribution company serving the Aba Ring Fence Area in Abia State.

In a detailed submission to the Commission, Managing Director of A.P.L.E, Barrister Ugo Opiegbe, outlined the reasons for the requested upward review. He cited rising operational costs, the impact of inflation.

Speaking on behalf of NERC, the Vice Chairman, Musiliu Olalekan Oseni, stated that the Commission would carefully review A.P.L.E’s application.

As discussions progress, A.P.L.E has reiterated its commitment to its customers. Barr. Opiegbe assured that the company would sustain its efforts to deliver quality power supply regardless of the outcome of the application.
