The Newly sworn-in Minister of Power, Hon. Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, has reaffirmed his commitment to serve Nigerians with honesty and diligence.
Speaking after his swearing-in ceremony, he thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment and said his team has already started work on a structured power sector reform strategy based on execution discipline, clear milestones, and public accountability.

The Minister disclosed that he has engaged all key sector agencies including TCN, NDPHC, NERC, REA, NBET, and FGN Power Company, and they are aligned and ready to deliver.
He added that international development partners and funding agencies have also pledged liquidity support to the sector, which he described as a vote of confidence in the government’s reform direction.

Minister Tegbe urged Nigerians to be patient, saying decades of challenges in the power sector cannot be fixed in weeks or months. He promised visible improvement and honest communication, and pledged that under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the goal remains reliable and affordable 24-hour electricity for every home, business and industry.
