NIGERIAN EXPORT PROMOTION COUNCIL PROMISES MORE SUPPORT FOR WOMEN EXPORTERS
The Executive Director of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, NEPC, Nonye Ayeni, has called for stronger support for women-led businesses to boost Nigeria’s non-oil export sector.
She made the call at the Women Exporters Conference held in Abuja.
The conference, themed “Strengthening Women-led Businesses for Resilience, Recovery and Inclusive Economic Growth,” brought together key stakeholders to advance women’s participation in global trade.
Ayeni said non-oil exports remain critical to Nigeria’s economic diversification as women make up roughly 40 percent of SMEs, in driving inclusive economic growth.
