Nigerian Petrol Prices Skyrocket as FG Vows Crackdown.
Independent oil marketers in Nigeria have raised petrol prices to between N900 and N1,000 per liter, far above the N568 to N617 per liter seen at NNPC stations.
The Federal Government, through the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), has pledged to shut down stations selling at these exorbitant rates.
Marketers attribute the hikes to high depot prices, but the NMDPRA disputes these claims.
