NNPC PROFITS AFTER TAX RISES BY 79.23 PER CENT TO HIT 481 BILLION NAIRA
For April 2026, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has declared 481 billion naira Profit After Tax (PAT), which rose by 79.23 per cent from the 276 billion naira posted in March 2026.
This was contained in its April 2026 Monthly Report Summary, released on its X handle on Sunday.
The report revealed that in the period under review, NNPCL raked in 4.971 trillion naira in revenue, a 74.28 per cent increase from the 2.774 trillion naira recorded in the preceding month.
According to the report, NNPCL remitted 3.714 trillion naira as statutory payments for January to April.
Recall that the state- owned company had paid 2.888 trillion naira between January and March, indicating that the firm paid 826 billion naira to the Federation Account for April 2026.
The impressive financial statement can be attributed to the growth recorded in the production across board and the rise in crude oil prices owing to the US, Israel/ Iran crisis.
