President Bola Tinubu and his wife, First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will pay a state visit to the United Kingdom from March 18 to 19, 2026, following an invitation by King Charles the third.

The visit, which will take place at Windsor Castle, will be the first state visit by a Nigerian leader to the UK in 37 years.

The confirmation was made public on Sunday by the British Royal Family via its verified X handle, @RoyalFamily, and later echoed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, on his verified account.

Onanuga, confirming the development, described it as a historic milestone in Nigeria-UK relations.
