PRESIDENT TINUBU ASSURES ONGOING ECONOMIC REFORMS WILL SECURE FUTURE OF NIGERIAN YOUTHS
President Bola Tinubu has affirmed that the ongoing economic reforms in Nigeria are designed to empower the country’s youth and secure their future.
The President made this statement when he received the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, at the State House in Abuja.
According to President Tinubu, the reforms are aimed at strengthening the economy and relevant institutions, and will equip Nigerian youths with skills that will make them globally competitive.
The President noted that youths remain central to the repositioning of the economy, and their ownership of the key reforms will lead Nigeria into a great future.
He highlighted some of the initiatives being implemented by the government, including the establishment of a special education loan fund to support students and promote access to education.
The President also mentioned the laying of fibre optics and other infrastructural projects to promote access and optimise the inclusion of young people in the country’s development.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, commended President Tinubu on the economic reforms, saying they have received positive reviews across the globe.
The award ceremony, which is being held in partnership with the Lagos State Government, aims to celebrate the achievements of young Nigerians and promote their development. The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a global framework for non-formal education, empowering young people to develop skills, resilience, and a spirit of service.
