PRESIDENT TINUBU MEETS 32 MEMBER PLATEAU STATE DELEGATION
President Bola Tinubu met with a 32-member Plateau State delegation, led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday to tackle recurring violence like the March 29 Angwa Rukuba attack.
He urged leaders and traditional rulers to promote tolerance, review security White Papers, identify provocateurs, and unite across indigene-settler, religious, ethnic, and farmer-herder divides.
Youths and faith representatives pledged collaboration for peace.
Tinubu challenged stakeholders to summon leadership meetings, implement past recommendations, and ensure justice to prevent orphans and widows from further conflicts.
He reaffirmed commitment to Plateau’s infrastructure and responded to calls for more troops, CCTV, state police, and IDP returns before the rainy season.
Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Dr. Mohammed Dorro announced Tinubu’s approval of N2 billion in relief for attack victims.
