PRESIDENT TINUBU PROMISES TO DEPLOY 5,000 DIGITAL CAMERA TO COMBAT INSECURITY IN JOS

President Bola Tinubu has promised to deploy an artificial intelligence-enabled network of over 5,000 digital cameras to help law enforcement agencies combat insecurity in Plateau State.
He made this promise during a visit to Jos, where he commiserated with the government and people of the state on the March 29 gun attacks that claimed innocent lives.

The President directed the Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa, and other security agencies to “unearth and find the killers” of innocent Nigerians.
He also announced that the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijjani, will oversee the immediate installation of security cameras in Jos and across Plateau State.

President Tinubu lamented the pain caused by the latest violence and expressed dismay at seeing videos of the attacks. He pledged that the government will do everything possible to ensure justice is served and provide comfort for the bereaved families.
The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang, welcomed the President’s initiative and expressed confidence that it will strengthen security in the state.
