President Bola Tinubu has appointed Mohammed Mohammed as the new Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and Adeola Ajayi as the head of the Department of State Services (DSS). 

These appointments follow the resignations of the former leaders, Ahmed Rufai of the NIA and Yusuf Bichi of the DSS, who were initially retained by Tinubu in June 2023. 

The new appointments are part of Tinubu’s ongoing efforts to reshape Nigeria’s security architecture.
