UN DATA REVEALS NIGERIA’S POPULATION TO CROSS 237 MILLION BY 2025
Nigeria’s population is projected to reach 237,527,782 by 2025, up from 235,072,214 in December 2024, according to United Nations data.
The country ranks sixth in the world population list and has a population density of 255 per Km2. Lagos is the most populated city, with 53.9% urban.
The median age is 17.9 years, and life expectancy is 54.6 years for both sexes. The world population increased by over 71 million in 2024.
