Women Advocates research and documentation center, WARDC, has called for security, gender justice and equal access for women in Nigeria.

Co- Founder, Women Advocates research and documentation center, WARDC, Dr. Abiola Afolabi made the call during the celebration of the international women’s day 2024.

Dr. Afolabi noted that there is an unfortunate imbalance to opportunities for women in Nigeria and the international women’s day is an opportunity to X-ray the huge gender gap.

She further called on the National Assembly to revisit the five gender bills to enshrine the rights of women and improve women’s representation in politics and governance.
