WORLD BANK SAYS NIGERIA IS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF STEADY REFORM  GLOBALLY

World Bank says Nigeria is being cited globally as an example of steady, credible reform and  leadership.

 World Bank Managing Director of Operations, Anna Bjerde made this remark during a meeting with President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in Abuja, commending Nigeria’s reform progress over the past two years.

President Tinubu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ongoing economic reforms, stating that there’s no turning back despite challenges. 

He highlighted the progress made, including reduced inflation, stabilized naira, and improved investor confidence.

 The President emphasized that reforms are anchored in transparency, accountability, and stable policies.

The World Bank chief highlighted the forthcoming Country Partnership Framework, aligned with Nigeria’s development vision, aiming for a $1 trillion GDP and 7% growth. 

President Tinubu called on the World Bank to deepen its partnership with Nigeria, accelerate financing options, and build local skills to fast-track inclusive growth and prosperity.
