PBAT DOOR-TO-DOOR MOVEMENT MOURNS OFFICERS IN CRASH, SUSPENDS CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES

The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement says it received with shock the news of the military aircraft crash that killed officers of the Nigerian Navy and other personnel on board.

‎In a statement, National Coordinator Comrade Sunday Asuku quoted the Grand Patron of the Movement, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, as describing the incident as a painful and monumental loss to the armed forces and the nation.

‎Tompolo said the officers paid the ultimate price in the line of duty, serving the country with courage and patriotism.

‎Following the tragedy, the Movement has suspended all campaign activities for the 2027 presidential election for one week.

It extended condolences to President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the government and people of Ondo State, and the families of the fallen heroes.

‎The Movement commended the Nigerian Air Force, Nigerian Navy, first responders and local residents who took part in the search and rescue operations.

‎It prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased and urged military authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to prevent future occurrences.
