IFI, LUMINATE GROUP LAUNCH KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTS TO ADVANCE WOMEN, CHILDREN’S RIGHTS

The Inclusive Futures Initiative (IFI), in partnership with Luminate Group, has launched its inaugural knowledge products aimed at strengthening the protection of the rights of women, children and young people in Nigeria.

‎

‎The launch took place in Abuja, where IFI Board Member, Adenike Aloba, highlighted the persistent violations of the rights of women, children and young people despite years of advocacy.

‎

‎Aloba called for collaboration with digital organisations and other stakeholders to identify gaps in existing protection efforts and develop lasting solutions to the challenges.

‎

‎The Chief Executive Officer of Luminate Group, Melanie Hui, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to partnering with groups working to address digital rights violations across different regions.

‎

‎Hui said supporting IFI presented an opportunity to help shape a digital future that reflects the hopes, needs and aspirations of the people served by the organisations.

‎

‎Also speaking, Luminate Africa Regional Director, Toyin Akiniyi, said the safety and participation of women, children and young people depend on decisions made by digital platforms, policymakers, service providers and communities.

‎

‎Akiniyi expressed Luminate’s satisfaction with supporting IFI’s institutional development, stressing that lasting change requires organisations capable of asking difficult questions, building trust across sectors and sustaining their efforts beyond launch events.

‎

‎She also commended IFI’s approach of combining research, public awareness and collaboration to advance the rights of women, children and young people.
