TCN COMMISSIONS 60MVA TRANSFORMER IN YOBE

The Transmission Company of Nigeria, TCN, has commissioned a new 60MVA, 132/33kV Mobile Power Transformer at its Damaturu Transmission Substation in Yobe State. The transformer was energized at 9:50pm on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
With the new installation, the substation’s total transformation capacity has increased from 120MVA to 180MVA. TCN says this will enhance operational flexibility and reliability at the facility.
NERC JOINS MINISTER TEGBE TO UNITE POWER SECTOR
