CUSTOMS CONCLUDES 2025 RECRUITMENT SCREENING
The Nigeria Customs Service has concluded the final phase of its 2025 recruitment exercise.
The Service says shortlisted candidates completed documentation, physical fitness tests and medical screening at the Training and Doctrine Command, TRADOC, in Gwagwalada, Abuja.
The two-week exercise started on September 7 and ended on September 19, 2026. It covered candidates for Assistant Superintendent of Customs II, Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres.
Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Human Resource Development, Frank Onyeka, says measures were taken to reduce congestion and ensure a smooth process after addressing gaps identified in the earlier phase.
Deputy Comptroller and member of the coordinating team, Adamu Musa, says close to 3,000 candidates were screened without casualty. He says the improvement was due to introduction of personalized screening forms containing candidates’ records.
Musa says candidates will be evaluated based on age, physical fitness and drug screening, adding that those who test positive for hard drugs or exceed age limit may be disqualified.
He advises candidates to verify recruitment information through the Service’s official website and verified social media platforms to avoid fraud.
