JAIZ BANK CLARIFIES ALLEGED ₦104M INVESTMENT TRANSACTIONS IN ITS JOS BRANCH

ABUJA, Nov 4 – Jaiz Bank Plc has denied involvement in a disputed ₦104 million investment arrangement in Jos, Plateau State, following media reports alleging institutional fraud.

‎

‎In a statement on Tuesday, the bank said a comprehensive review of transactions involving a former employee and some complainants showed the disputed funds were never received, booked or registered under any official Jaiz Bank investment product or account.

‎

‎It said internal records showed no evidence of bank-authorised investments, but indicated private transactions between the complainants and the former employee.

‎

‎The bank added that the transaction details provided by the complainants do not align with its established operational, regulatory or authorisation protocols.

‎

‎Jaiz Bank said the matter is pending before the High Court of Justice of Plateau State and urged the public and media to avoid drawing premature conclusions based on unverified narratives.

‎

‎It said it remains committed to ethical, Shari’ah-compliant finance, transparency and cooperation with regulatory and judicial authorities to ensure a fair resolution.
