The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, for the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group.

Oyedele will lead Nigeria’s delegation to the meetings scheduled for Oct. 12 to 18.

The meetings will bring together finance ministers, central bank governors and development partners to discuss global economic developments, financing priorities and strategies for sustainable growth.

A statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance said the meetings come amid ongoing efforts to strengthen macroeconomic stability, attract investment and ensure reforms translate into jobs and business opportunities.

It said Oyedele’s participation provides an opportunity for Nigeria to engage international financial institutions and development partners on issues relevant to the country’s economic priorities.
