FORMER LABOUR LEADER,OSHIOMHOLE SAYS GOVT IS IN AGREEMENT WITH LABOUR ON WAGE INCREASE
The Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, says there is a mutual agreement between workers and the Federal Government and the state counterparts that there is an urgent need to increase the minimum
Oshiomhole, who was a guest on a monitored Television broadcast on Wednesday, said that all concerned parties acknowledged that the current minimum wage of N30,000 is outdated and should be increased to meet with rising cost of living.
He explained that there is some unanimity between employers, including private employers and the Federal Government as the current minimum wage of 30,000 is very low.
He further informed that there is a shared commitment that wages should go up and go up radically as much as prices have skyrocketed.
