NDIC WINS VERBATIM’S PILLAR OF INTEGRITY IN PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has won the 2026 Pillar of Integrity in Public Service Award.

 

The award was given by Verbatim Magazine for ethics, transparency and accountability in public service.

 

‎The award was presented to the Managing Director of the Corporation, Mr. Thompson Sunday, who was represented by the Head of Communication and Public Affairs, Ms. Hawwau Gambo, at the 2026 Verbatim Awards in Abuja.

 

The award was organized by Verbatim Print and Broadcast Limited in partnership with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

 

‎The NDIC won the award after emerging second overall in the 2025 Ethics and Integrity Compliance Scorecard of the ICPC.

 

‎The Chairman of the ICPC, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, who was represented by Mr. Olusegun Adigun, delivered a keynote address titled “The Power of Integrity in National Development.”

 

‎Receiving the award, Ms. Gambo commended Verbatim for recognizing the Corporation based on the ICPC’s integrity scorecard.

 

‎She reaffirmed the Corporation’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its mandate of deposit guarantee, bank supervision, failure resolution and bank liquidation.
